Why Soil pH is the Key to a Green Lawn
Think of soil pH as the gatekeeper for nutrients. If your soil is too acidic (low pH) or too alkaline (high pH), the gate is “locked.” Even if you apply the best fertilizer, the grass roots can’t absorb the nutrients effectively. This is called **nutrient lockout**. Correcting your pH unlocks the gate, allowing your lawn to use the food it’s given.
